Privacy Policy
JouleCalc does not run accounts, does not set cookies of its own, and does not have a backend that stores what you type.
What we collect
Nothing that identifies you. There is no login, no newsletter, no comment box, and no form that posts to a server we control. Calculator inputs live in the page and, if you share a link, in the query string of that URL. Those parameters are parsed in your browser. We do not log them.
Analytics
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is a privacy-oriented beacon: no cookie, no cross-site tracker, and no sale of personal data. It tells us aggregate things (page views, whether LCP stayed under budget). It is not advertising measurement.
Hosting
Pages are static files on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare's network will see standard request metadata (IP, user agent) the way any CDN does. We do not run a database behind this site.
Ads and affiliate links
Manufacturer specs links go directly to the manufacturer's site, where that site's privacy policy applies. There are no live affiliate links or advertising scripts on JouleCalc today. If affiliate links are added, they will be labeled next to the link and disclosed beside the product list; the affiliate network may use cookies after you click. If AdSense is approved, ads will be limited to two slots and EEA/UK traffic will go through Google's consent management. This page will be updated before affiliate links or ads go live.
